27.06.2011

Well hello-hello. This time I decided to let you catch up on my personal life a little bit.
Anyway, last week was so crazy. On June 21st I went to see 30 Seconds To Mars in Tallinn with my best friend and it was definitely one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Then from 22nd till 24th we celebrated the Midsummer Day. A lot of barbecuing & yummy food.
I can't believe it's already been one whole month since my summer holidays started. What a shame though that the weathers have been quite rainy and chilly lately. I think now it's also the right time for me to start looking for a summer job. Oh and earlier today when I went to the bank to redo my contract, the bank lady told me that it's the right time for me to start a retirement fund. I mean I knew I had to do it some time but I guess I didn't realise I had to deal with such things any time soon just yet so I was quite surprised :D After that I stopped by the department store to get myself a new concealer and this super cute lipstick caught my eye. I'm not a big lipstick person overall so I didn't buy it but now that I think about it I actually should've bought it. Maybe I'll go back there some time later tonight or tomorrow to get it. Eh - we'll see ;)
Right now I'm just sitting here, listening to music, enjoying brie and the lovely weather. I guess I should go outside to fully enjoy the lovely sun and maybe read a book. I'll also try to keep posting here more often because once again, suddenly the number of readers I get has been growing rapidly and it only makes me happy :)

Versace Pre-Fall 2011

I've been lately very obsessed with Versace so why not do a fashion post about it?
The Pre-Fall 2011 collection definitely caught my eye. I'd describe it as edgy, chic and bold. I love how there are so many different patterns and and prints combined with each other. And besides the collection just being an eye-magnet overall, all the items separately are also true fashion statement pieces. I also got a few new ideas how to spice up my every day outfits so I think it's fair to call this collection a double win.

Starting out with my personal favourite:

GLITTER TIPS: nourishing and soothing home-made honey mask

Last night after taking my make up off I noticed how my skin looked tired and irritated. Instead of using the pre-made face masks that are full of chemicals I decided to try something natural for a change - honey!
I did some research beforehand on honey's skin care benefits and the results were honestly mind-blowing..

  • Honey eliminates wrinkles and fine lines
  • Honey rejuvenates the skin
  • Nourishes the skin deeply and prevents infections
  • Honey helps attract and retain moisture and prevents skin dehydration
  • Honey brightens dull skin and prevents skin discolorations
  • Honey is beneficial to treating wounds, sores and burns
  • Honey leaves skin soft, soothe and younger-looking
  • Honey helps renew skin cells
  • Honey treats acne, eczema and other skin conditions as it contains amino acids and enzymes
... and the list goes on. Unbelievable! Of course I decided to try it out myself :)

So what I did?
  - I applied honey with my clean hands using light circular motions on my cleansed face.
You can also use a brush if you prefer. The honey I used had little granules in it since it was 100% natural honey bought directly from the beekeeper. If you are using liquid honey you can also add some oatmeal or coffee to it (I'll tell you why in a second..)

  - I let it sit on my face around 20 minutes

  - Instead of washing the honey off like a regular face mask I wet my hands with warm water and gently started exfoliating my face using circular motions (that's why you should add coffee or oatmeal to your liquid honey beforehand). That way after pampering my face I also removed the dead skin cells from my skin.
After exfoliating my face for a minute or so I rinsed my face with warm water and patted my face dry.

  - Then I applied my favourite moisturiser.

Results
  - Firstly I noticed how my skin looked very even and glowy
  - Clean pores
  - My skin felt very soft and moisturised
  - The little pimple I had on my chin was a lot less noticeable, the bump of it was a lot smaller and it didn't hurt any more so the infection had reduced quite a bit!

I was very amazed with the results and I will definitely start doing this mask more often. It's like an instant remedy for pimples! I personally don't have acne but I assume it would be a holy grail for people who do. I wouldn't recommend it to the people who are allergic to honey though. Just in case..

Anyways, if you try it out definitely let me know how it worked for you. I'm especially looking forward hearing about people who have problematic skin because for my teeny-tiny pimple it made a huge difference.

Smoked out

Smoky eyemakeup adds a hint of mystery to every woman's look so I decided to do a quick inspirational post on it.
I know it's very hot outside right now and wearing such makeup in the daytime would be a torture but you can't go wrong with a smoky eye in the nighttime - that's for sure! This time I picked out looks that are more on the neutral side so expect nothing crazy.

Chanel Pre-Fall 2011

Chanel Pre-Fall 2011 collection is very glamorous (as always..). It has a very royal and sort of glorious feel to it. And a lot of detailing that's for sure. Especially various accents of gold and piles of gemstones. I personally fell in love with all the accessories and shoes in this particular collection. The headbands and chunky bracelets are simply gorgeous. Overall all the collection consists of very various items and outfits which all together make a perfect whole.
